Hi! I’m Layla, mum of two and barefoot shoe enthusiast. My mission is simple: to make barefoot shoes affordable, so every child’s feet have the chance to grow naturally and unrestricted, whatever your budget.

When I first switched to barefoot shoes, stylish options were scarce and came with a hefty price tag. Thankfully, as awareness has grown, more brands have appeared with a wider variety of designs. But here’s the catch:  many are still expensive. Children’s feet grow quickly, and not every family can afford a new pair every six months!

That’s why I started Budget Barefoot Kids. We’ve carefully curated a range of affordable barefoot and minimalist shoes, so your little ones can enjoy comfort and healthy foot development all year round, without breaking the bank.

Our selection criteria are simple: shoes must be foot-shaped (ergonomic), zero-drop or close to it (no or minimal heel) and made with flexible soles. We offer some very barefoot options and some with a bit more cushioning, some shoes to fit narrower and some to fit wider feet.
